What you download is what we published. Here is how to be sure.
Every file is served over HTTPS from moldum.com and listed here with its SHA-256 checksum, a fingerprint that changes if a single byte changes. Compare the fingerprint of the file you downloaded with the one in the table: if they match, the file is intact and it is ours.

How to check the checksum

Open PowerShell in the Downloads folder and run:

The result is 64 characters. It must be identical to the one in the table, ignoring upper or lower case.
About safety
Windows says «Windows protected your PC» or «Unknown publisher»
SmartScreen shows that for any new program that does not yet have a reputation built from many installs, not because it found anything. Check the checksum above and press «More info › Run anyway». The program does not need administrator rights, installs only for your user, and can be uninstalled from Settings like any other.
macOS says the app cannot be opened or is from an unidentified developer
The Mac beta is not signed by Apple yet. The first time, right-click on Moldum › Open › Open. After that it opens normally.
Does Moldum send my data anywhere?
No. Your templates and documents never leave your computer. Moldum only connects to moldum.com to activate a Pro license and, if the option is on, to check whether there is a new version (it sends its version number, nothing else).
Are updates verified?
Yes. When Moldum downloads a new version by itself, it computes the checksum of the file and compares it with the one published here before installing; if they differ, it refuses to install.
